With the evolution of time and changes in the environment, the Department of Dentistry continually adapts to transformations to ensure that teaching methods align closely with advancements in cutting-edge technology. We promote bilingual instruction and enhance the diversity and foresight of dental education through initiatives such as the "English Joy Program" and the "English Medical Corner." Additionally, we continuously update student laboratory equipment, develop digital dental education, and encourage teaching innovation to ensure that course content aligns with the latest technological trends and clinical needs, further strengthening students' professional knowledge and clinical skills.

Research and Development

We focus on integrated and interdisciplinary research, developing distinctive research projects in the field of dentistry. Our research covers clinical dentistry, head and neck cancer and oral mucosal diseases, craniofacial development, dental materials, biomechanics, genetic polymorphisms, stem cells and tissue engineering, oral health administration, epidemiology, and preventive dentistry. Through these efforts, we aim to cultivate outstanding faculty and research talents.

We actively encourage students to participate in international academic exchanges, including short-term study programs and overseas internships. Faculty members are also encouraged to pursue overseas training and research to enhance their academic and clinical expertise, thereby fostering international development.

Regarding social responsibility and sustainable development, we uphold the spirit of "6+60" (six years of study, sixty years as alumni), emphasizing the social responsibility of medical professionals. By leveraging alumni resources, we give back to the department by upgrading educational facilities. Furthermore, we encourage students to engage in community service, cultivating a strong sense of social responsibility and mission.
